Welcome to myChallengeTribe. These terms govern your use of our platform. We've written them to be clear and fair -- no legalese walls, no hidden surprises. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

1. Your Account

You must be at least 13 years old to use myChallengeTribe. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We recommend using a strong password or our passwordless magic-link sign-in.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep your profile information up to date.
You may not create multiple accounts to manipulate leaderboards, inflate challenge statistics, or circumvent any restrictions placed on your account.

2. Community Standards

myChallengeTribe is a supportive community focused on personal growth. You agree to treat other members with respect and kindness.
You may not post content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or that promotes illegal activity.
You may not impersonate other users, public figures, or myChallengeTribe staff.
You may not use the platform to spam, advertise, or promote external products or services without our prior consent.
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these standards, with or without notice.

3. Challenges & Content

You may create challenges for yourself and others. By creating a public challenge, you grant myChallengeTribe a non-exclusive license to display that content on the platform.
AI-generated challenges are created using artificial intelligence and reviewed for quality. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content is provided as-is and should not substitute professional medical, financial, or psychological advice.
Check-in data, progress logs, and achievements you submit are stored on our servers and may be visible to other users depending on the challenge's privacy settings.
You retain ownership of any original content you create, such as check-in notes and feed posts. You may delete your content at any time.

4. AI Coach Disclaimer

The AI Coach feature provides motivational guidance and behavioral science-informed suggestions. It is not a licensed therapist, medical professional, or financial advisor.
AI Coach responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may occasionally be inaccurate, irrelevant, or incomplete. Always use your own judgment.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services. The AI Coach is not equipped to handle emergencies.
We do not guarantee specific outcomes from following AI Coach recommendations.

5. Fair Play & Gamification

XP, badges, streaks, and leaderboard rankings are designed to motivate positive behavior change. They carry no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, sold, or transferred.
We reserve the right to adjust gamification mechanics (XP rates, badge criteria, streak rules) at any time to maintain fairness and engagement quality.
Attempting to exploit bugs, automate check-ins, or otherwise game the system is prohibited. Accounts found to be cheating may be suspended and their statistics reset.
Leaderboard positions are calculated based on legitimate activity. We may exclude suspicious activity from rankings without notice.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform unless explicitly authorized.
You may not attempt to access other users' accounts, private data, or admin functionality.
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform.
You may not use the platform for any purpose that violates applicable local, national, or international law.

7. Limitation of Liability

myChallengeTribe is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, missed goals, or emotional distress.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

8. Changes & Termination

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the new terms take effect.
Your continued use of the platform after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those terms.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon account closure, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice when possible.
